Richard Luttrell, PM
3 Nov 1625, Dublin. From CA. Not in calendar.
Thomas Luttrell of Luttrellston, esq., was seised of mes. In Dublin. In 9 James I (1611/12) he levied a fine
of them without license to Sir Gerald Aylmer, who alienated without license
to Richard Luttrell and his heirs. Richard d. seised on 20 Oct 1621. Heir: - bro. Robert, of age and married. (10)
(Apparently Richard has no children for his brother to be listed as his heir)
PM = Post Mortem - indicates this is after Richard's death

As well as the castle of Ward there was one on the lands of Spricklestown, which belonged
to the family of FitzRery of Coolatrath in Kilsallaghan parish. At the beginning of the seventeenth century
this castle was occupied by a cadet of the house of Luttrellstown,
Richard Luttrell, who was married to a daughter of Richard FitzRery of Coolatrath,
and thence, as a funeral entry records,
after his death in 1619, his body was carried to Clonsilla to be interred.

Richard's date of death differs between the above 2 accounts. One may be date Will was written and the other was date of probate. Or, maybe FE Ball made an error. . .Or. . .it was another Richard. . ."a cadet of the house of Luttrellstown"

There are other Richard Luttrells nearby. . .
Richard Luttrell (d ? ), son of Nicholas Luttrell (d. 1567/68)
Clonsilla, Co. Dublin, gent., cousin of Sir Thomas Luttrell;
lived in house of considerable size near Luttrellstown.
Richard (d1633), son of Robert Luttrell of Tankardston
Richard Luttrell of Terrelston, on a deed in 1595
This is not Richard Luttrell, son of Sir Thomas Luttrell of Luttrellstown.
Historians, F. E. Ball and C. E. J. O'Brien say that Richard predeceased his father who died in 1554. (3, 6, 11)
